Vision Statement

In Art & Design Education Lab (ADEL), our vision is to empower individuals and communities and inspire transformative art and design learning. 

We are committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive environment where art and design learning is accessible and inclusive. Such an education encourages multimodal forms of expression which can remove barriers to participation and ensure that every individual can communicate ideas in a way that personally resonates. 

 

Art and design education here embraces exploration and meta-perceptual inquiry which instigates multiple possibilities for re-viewing exhibitions and museum spaces and objects!  For ADEL participants, such activity builds confidence and encourages risk-taking – all leading to innovative thinking and creative problem-solving.

 

ADEL interpretive strategies and teaching offer viewers ways to explore history through critical pedagogy and reflective practices, as well as from multiple viewpoints. This can broaden cross-cultural understanding and support a deeper respect for diversity. We believe that such an art and design education enriches our collective experience and promotes physical and mental well-being, helping individuals navigate complex emotions and identities.
